Additional X Information

Perhaps best known stateside for her 2001 smash singles, "Can't Get You Out of My Head" and "Love At First Sight", Kylie Minogue is an international pop icon who, over the course of an extraordinary 20-year-career, has released ten studio albums, scored 45 hit singles, received countless gold and platinum discs, earned three Grammy® nominations, and sold out six world tours!
The wait is finally over! On April 1st, Kylie releases X in the US, her first new studio album in four years. 'X' features international smash hits, 2 Hearts, WOW, In My Arms and the US first single ALL I SEE!! The album, Kylie's 10th, features 14 new tracks including a BONUS track - ALL I SEE featuring MIMS, not currently available on any international verison to date!!! For months fans have been referring to the title of the new album as X, so when it came to naming the album it was the obvious choice!

What Customers Say About X:

The only songs that weigh this album down are "Nu-di-ty" and "No More Rain". Overall, it's Kylie Minogue in top form. The songs "All I See" and "Heart Beat Rock" would have made a great choices for a first single instead of "In My Arms". Just about the entire album is centered around uptempo songs, except for the Eg White produced "Cosmic" which is the lone ballad on this album. On this new effort, she makes it a point to make reference to synth pop and new wave which were prevalent in the 1980's. After a five year absence, Kylie Minogue returns with "X", as in her tenth album in Roman numeral. She should know- her hit single "The Locomotion" 20 years earlier. "Speakerphone" sounds like a lost Daft Punk track.

I LOVE all the songs on this album but my absolute favorites are Rain and All I See. This entire album is loaded on my IPod and I've listened to it so many times I know every word. I can't wait for your next album. And Kylie's voice is like butter. Kylie has a fantastic voice and her music is great. But geez, that's only if I have to pick, because frankly I plug this in and listen to every song on here over and over again. I won't go into a more extensive review because a lot of good comments have been made here about Kylie's lack of attention in the US.

Alternates between the sultry like All I See and the made-for-dancing Wow. I'll just ask-Don't give up on the States Kylie. The beats here are fantastic. Every song on here is an absolute hit. I can't believe this girl hasn't shot to number one in America. The lyrics charming.

Granted some may see this as too popish, but I love it anyway. You have fans here and we love you. Kylie's best CD yet. Can't believe we're forced to listen to Brit's synthesized junk when we've got Kylie's melodies. It's my bopping around in my car music.

I love the fact that this album has both its dance songs like "speakerphone" and "Heart Beat Rock" and its ballards like "No More Rain" and "Cosmic". I enjoyed every song on the ablum except for 'Sensitized'. Over all Kylie Minogue hits her mark and scores expectionally well with her 10th studio ablum. I love this album, from the moment I heard 'All I See' featuring Mims to when I heard the song '2 Hearts' I was hooked. This one of best albums I heard yet this year. The website asscebile songs "Rippin' Up the Disco" is awesome as well and should have been inluded on the ablum.

"Nu-di-ty" 7.5/1013. It is a pleasant surprise. "Heart Beat Rock" 10/107. The first song I played on the album was "In My Arms." I enjoyed it immediately. edition of the album. Again, the Dance music fans and market responded to "All I See" and its remixes. It allows Kylie's voice to spread so one can hear and her full voice. chart hit, peaking at #19 on the Hot Dance Airplay chart.

"The One" 10/109. The Nu-Disco song "Wow" and the edgier "In My Arms" are immediate crowd pleasers. Mims. Much of the remainder of the album took more than two plays for me to warm up to. "No More Rain" is a pleasant ballad. "Like A Drug" 8/103.

This edit adds nothing that would make it better than the original. She sound sincerely and assured. Then perhaps "X" would not be one the "Best Pop Albums of 2008 that the public at large in North America missed out on". It is not a bad thing. "Speakerphone" 8/105. The only songs I did not enjoy that first are "Speakerphone" and "Nu-di-ty." I still don't care for the unnecessary edit of "All I See" feat.

"Wow" 10/1012. However, the continued ignorance of U.S. Thanks. "Sensitized" 10/106. The lyrics are very good as well. "2 Hearts" 8/102. "Cosmic" 10/10 "X" is an album that unlike all of her other albums, does not have a concept or conhesive, unitifed sound. The song peaked at #3 on the Hot Dance/Club Play chart.

Overall, "X" is a solid record that deserved to have at least decent promotion for the album and its singles pushed on various radio formats. radio programmers outside of the Dance and Adult Contemporary radio formats prevented it from become a hit record. However, the production of it makes the song, especially during the bridge, it is difficult to hear. "In My Arms" 10/104. The song "When The Cat Walks" would have better superior addition to the album instead of this useless edit of "All I See." On the slower side "Cosmic" is the best ballad on the album. "Sensitized" is another sensual Dance-pop song that suits Kylie well. The music video for "In My Arms" was televised on "Entertainment Studios" one night.

"Wow" became a U.S. Here is my rating of each song.1. "No More Rain" 9/108. It should have left off of the the U.S. It is in the same vein of her previous albums' track, "Secret (Take You Home)." "All I See" is a cool, smooth slice of Urban/Dance-pop which would have easily become a Summertime hit soon after its release.

"Stars" 9/1011. After purchasing "X" from Curcuit City, six months before it when out of business, I was excited. "All I See" 10/1010. "Heart Beat Rock" is a cleverly written and produced Pop-Rap song that could easily be redited into a Dance-pop Dancefloor track.

The other tracks are a bit more unusual. Fun. "Sensitized" samples Serge Gainsboug's "Bonnie and Clyde". "Like a Drug" reminds me of "Can't Get You Out Of My Head". Her sound is not particularly of the moment but it's classic pop dance music - elements of Kraftwerk and T-Rex/Goldfrapp.

My favorite track is "The One" - a really beautiful synth dance track. "Stars" is classic disco Kylie. "2 Hearts" has a traditional pop structure with state of the art electro pop production. Experimental and creative electro dance pop. I did not initially like this CD.

"All I See Is You" is smooth classic disco. "Wow" is like aural whippets.is she a creature from Xanadu appearing to me in a dream.
